Meet the Team
Christna Turner
Chief Executive Officer/ FounderChristna Turner is the Founder and CEO of CIT Right at Home & Development LLC partnered with Right at Home #1, a Chicago-based real estate and community development company created to transform renters into homeowners through education, housing access, financial readiness, and long-term support. As a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker, housing strategist, and community development leader, Christna brings more than a decade of experience across real estate operations, property management, affordable housing, leasing, construction project management, and neighborhood revitalization.
Christna’s career has been built around one mission: helping families move from housing instability into ownership, equity, and generational wealth. She has led high-volume leasing operations, managed multimillion-dollar housing initiatives, trained real estate professionals, developed community partnerships, and supported renters, buyers, investors, veterans, and families throughout the housing process. Her professional background includes leadership in multifamily housing, senior living, supportive housing, affordable housing compliance, property operations, community engagement, and homeownership pipeline development.
Christna created the Tenant-to-Owner Transition Program, a community-driven housing model designed to prepare tenants for successful homeownership. The program combines homeownership education, credit restoration, financial coaching, rent savings, approved housing inventory, mentorship, and post-closing aftercare. Her vision is not only to help families purchase homes, but to make sure they are prepared to keep them, grow in them, and eventually become mentors to the next family entering the program.
Christna’s work is rooted in the belief that housing is more than shelter — it is the foundation for stability, pride, community investment, and economic mobility. As she often explains, banks manage money, but CIT & RAH1 manages people through the process of becoming homeowners. Her model creates a win for banks, homebuyers, investors, philanthropists, neighborhoods, and families by building a structured pathway from renting to ownership.
Before founding CIT & RAH#1, Christna served in leadership roles with various organizations and companies throughout Chicago and Chicagoland area. Her experience includes increasing homebuyer pipelines, building landlord and lender partnerships, overseeing leasing portfolios, managing teams, developing training manuals, coordinating housing expos, and strengthening neighborhood outreach strategies across Chicago communities.
Christna is known for her ability to connect people, systems, and opportunity. She is a builder of programs, partnerships, teams, and housing solutions. Her leadership style is grounded in compassion, accountability, strategy, and measurable results. Whether working with families, lenders, community leaders, or development partners, she brings a clear vision for turning renters into owners and strengthening communities from the inside out.
Christna holds an Illinois Real Estate Broker License, an Accredited Buyer’s Representative designation, Property Management Certification and a Business of Affairs and Consumer Protection Entrepreneur Certificate while current participate of Breedlove Program through YWCA. She is also affiliated with the National Association of Realtors and the Chicago Association of Realtors.
Christna is a movement ready to make homeownership more accessible, more realistic, and more sustainable for families who have historically been left out of the ownership conversation — one tenant, one home, and one neighborhood at a time. Grounded in one powerful belief: when families become homeowners, they build equity, generational wealth, neighborhood pride, and stronger communities. Through CIT Right at Home & Development partnered with Right at Home #1, Christna is building more than homes — she is building opportunity, ownership, and legacy.
Tamilah Lester
Tamilah Lester has walked alongside individuals and families, for over 24 years, as they make one of the most significant financial decisions of their lives: becoming homeowners. Tammie’s career in the mortgage industry has taught me that success isn’t just about closing loans—it’s about honesty, transparency, and making the process smooth, stress-free, and rewarding.
Tamilah has the privilege of guiding countless first-time buyers, veterans, and families through FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs. Each story is personal, and each home is more than a property—it’s the foundation for a family’s future.
Now, Tamilah brings those same principles to this mission. Just as Tamilah’s helped families secure homes, she’s committed to leading our operations with clarity and care so that the vision of expanding access to homeownership becomes a reality for more communities.
